Stylist Profile: Mèr Ienzi
She joined the Salon Daniel back in October and is a jack of all trades: Meet the newest member of our team…Mèr Ienzi!
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
Originally from Morocco, but lived in Northern VA since 98
Married for 3 1/2 years to the love of her life Roberto.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING HAIR?
Since 2012. Graduated from Paul Mitchell school in Tyson’s Corner
FAVORITE HAIR SERVICE:
Hair painting also known as balayage (but she is also a make-up artist and loves making women beautiful)
BEST HAIR STORY:
Mèr has been trying to get her hair to grow for years with no luck…. Daniel introduced her to hair extensions which is giving her the length and texture she has always wanted!
Mèr’s light hair stage (not an easy task when you have naturally black hair). The process of making her blonde took over 4 hours in the chair. Even though the end result wasn’t so bad, it took a terrible toll on her hair making it feel like gum….it still makes her cringe to think about it!
Sweet Water Tavern and Uncle Julio’s
FAVORITE CELEBRITY HAIR
FAVORITE THINGS TO DO IN YOUR FREE TIME
Mèr is a big movie buff..with a huge affinity for Disney movies. Dancing and singing are a big part of her life and she loves to travel and to learn about different cultures and people! When she can’t do any of the above you will find her watching YouTube videos on hair and make up.
Mèr doesn’t have kids but she does have fur babies that she considers her children. A white Persian named Versace and a French Bulldog named Blue.
FAVORITE DANIEL MOMENT:
Halloween 2016. Mèr can also tout special effects make up as one of her many talents. This year for the Salon Daniel Halloween Contest the theme was the Great Gatsby, but many of the staff wanted to add a zombie element to their costume. Mèr did all of the fabulous (and gruesome) make-up for Daniel and the entire team.
After graduating from Paul Mitchell Hair School where she was trained in both hair and make-up, Mèr started her career with Ratner Company working as a hairstylist at Bubbles in Leesburg. She took advantage of every continuing education class Ratner offered, from updos and balayage, to advanced cutting classes and color corrections, which gave her an even larger base of knowledge. She became the L’Oréal ambassador. teaching color classes to new stylists at different Bubbles locations and Salon Cielo. 10 months later she was promoted to Salon Manager at the Bubbles Salon at Dulles Town Center,
She is excited about this next stage of her career with Salon Daniel and we are thrilled to have her on board.
